Heavy Brush and Bulky Items are collected curbside twice a year on a published schedule. Set-out dates vary by zone (October-November and May-June). Collection begins the day after the last set-out date. Only grass & leaves (bagged/in container) and tree limbs will be collected during Heavy Brush collections. Heavy Brush and Bulky items must be separated. Bulky items cost $13.76 per item outside authorized collection periods. Additional loads during scheduled collection: $82.63 plus tax per truckload.

Place recyclables loose in blue cart - DO NOT bag items. Remove caps and lids from bottles and jugs. Give items a quick rinse and empty all liquids. Flatten cardboard boxes. Place cart at curb by 7:00 AM on collection day. Glass is NOT recyclable in Corpus Christi curbside program. Recycling collected every other week on the same day as trash. Brown cart for trash/yard waste, blue cart for recycling.

Holiday Schedule

Corpus Christi Solid Waste Services observes major federal holidays. When a holiday falls on a regular collection day, collections may be delayed. Observed holidays typically include: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Residents should check the city website or call 311 for specific holiday schedules. The J.C. Elliott Transfer Station is closed on Sundays and all federal holidays. Republic Services drop-off center is closed on weekends and holidays. Place carts at curb by 7:00 AM on your scheduled collection day.

Important Information

Corpus Christi provides solid waste collection services to over 100,000 residential customers. The city is divided into 10 collection zones, each with specific collection days. Trash is collected once per week, recycling every other week. Place carts at curb by 7:00 AM on collection day. Use brown/green cart for trash and yard waste, blue cart for recycling. J.C. Elliott Transfer Station offers FREE mulch on a first-come, first-served basis. All residential services are for Corpus Christi city limits residents only.
