If a holiday falls on a weekend, collection remains on the regular schedule. Major holidays affecting collection: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Collection is NOT affected by Indigenous Peoples' Day (October 13, 2025). Residents can look up specific holiday schedules and sign up for email reminders at minneapolismn.gov.
