Place items loosely in the cart - do NOT bag recyclables. Keep cart lid closed. DO NOT PUT PLASTIC BAGS IN THE RECYCLING BIN. Flatten cardboard boxes to save space. Place cart at curb with wheels facing your home by 7:00 AM on collection day. Use the St. Pete Collects mobile app's Waste Wizard feature if you're unsure whether an item is recyclable. Many grocery stores accept plastic bags for recycling. Zone-specific recycling calendars are distributed by mail to sanitation customers at the beginning of each year. For a replacement calendar, contact Sanitation Customer Service at (727) 893-7838.
